OpenSER XCAP/XDMS Server

An XML Document Management Server (XDMS) is an essential part of an IMS network. It is used for storing XML Presence rules, a network-based address list or any XML data. XCAP is the protcol used in IMS that allows a client to read, write and modify application configuration data, stored in XML format on a server. E.g. It enables you to access presence information from a presence server, or download XML data structures from your XDMS/XCAP server.

You can find a tutorial on how to setup your own OpenSER server here.

OpenXDM

OpenXDM is also an open source implementation of a XML Document Management (XDM) server, as defined in Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) specifications. Project files and documentation can be downloaded via subversion. A user forum is also available on the OpenXDM site.

The project developers have also published diagrams and a brief description of their OpenXDM Server Architecture.
